Tim's Craftsmanship

i have been looking for wood planter boxes for my front porch for months, but i could never find the size or style i was looking for. so, tim decided to make some for me and they turned out awesome. he measured out everything and even copied a modern design that we found online that was ridiculously priced. instead of spending $70 each for the ones i was finding at stores, we spent $15 for both. we stained them black to match the ceiling and hopefully the boxwoods inside will fill out more next year. i am so stoked with how well they turned out and just wanted to post some pics to show off tim's craftsman skills!!

oh, and happy birthday Jack!! we love you tons and can't wait to see you tomorrow.

NYC

New York was so fun.  It is really a milestone when your daughter enjoys doing all the same things you do.  We stayed on the 54th floor of the "W" right in Times Square.  We slept late, had room service and shopped to our (well princess Alexa's ) hearts content.  We saw Billy Elliott, Mamma Mia, and Chicago.  Billy Elliott was AMAZING!!  I can see why it won all the recent Tony's.  We did manage to squeeze in a few museums and ride the subway.  Alexa was pretty freaked out after her last traumatic experience on the subway, but we conquered that baby!!  Overall, just a fun mother-daughter trip!!  Happy Sweet Sixteen Babe!!  Love ya!

Graduation!!

These are our GRADUATES!!  Two big boys.  Colin graduated from kindergarden and is going to be a big first grader.  Jackson graduated from 6th grade and is officially a middle schooler!!  He had his big cotilliion dance and had to dance with the girls.  He hated it!!  Haha funny!!  We sure do love dem boys around here.

Vegas Baby!!

so, for my 30th birthday this past weekend Tim surprised me with a trip to Vegas. i have always wanted to go atleast once, so i was stoked. we stayed at the treasure island hotel (thanks a ton marnie and todd) and it was amazing, the room was on the corner of the building on the 17th floor, so one window showcased one half of the strip and the other window showcased the other half. we checked out the wax museum, in which Tim ran into Evil Knievel, one of his biggest heroes. we walked the strip and checked out all the main casinos, the Bellagio was my favorite with it's flower conservatory. Saturday night we went to see "Mystere" by Cirque Du Soleil it was a dream come true by far for me to see one of their shows, i have been slightly obsessed with them since i was 19. by the time we left we were ready for home, but the trip was fabulous and i had the best birthday ever. a huge thanks goes out to marnie, todd, candy, and brian--we appreciate all of your help. love, al
oh, and the girl in the pic below with the crazy hair is definitely claire!!
