Spring Break Hawaii

So been wanting to post these photos for a while, if nothing else than for mom.  Hawaii was great!  The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast.  It just wasn't long enough.  When is it ever.  Kids splashed, Alexa and her friend Maddy jumped the rock, Mom sunned and we had the ever present DS!!  We sure love this place!!

so, we just spent our easter weekend at home, doing a bit of yard work and trying to get healthy (i have had the flu for a few days). the girls wore their easter dresses on sunday and tried out some of their kung fu moves in nursery. tim and i are the new nursery leaders and it seems that our girls are the bullies of the class. we are hoping that it is only a stage. love you all, allison

So this is what we did this weekend.  Yes PROM!!  Even though Lexa isn't 16 for three more weeks, we told her she could go to prom if she was asked.  Sure enough, Mitch, a friend asked her to prom.  It was painful trying to find a dress.  (many pouffy, sparkly dresses, that look like you bought them at disneyland) And lots with no straps or back.  Nothing that she liked.  We were getting really frustrated and finally found this at the little dress store Sissy got her wedding dress at.  Whewwwwww!!  Alex the current boy wasn't real happy about her going to the Prom with Mitch, but cuz he is a senior he can't go to Junior prom and hey, what do ya do!!  She went with a group of her friends from cheer and had a really fun night.  Hopefully we can get some pics from the promanade that they did. (my camera wouldnt take a pic) but overall a good night.  You guys with daughters just wait!!  Teenage girls!!  yeah, T & A, you get 2 for the price of one!  Start saving NOW!!  Love ya all.  Hope your easter was great!  We are off to Hawaii for spring break and I cant wait!

St George Spring Break

Sissy and kids came from Portland for spring break, and Marnie, Lauren, Candy and Sissy took the 7 little kids to St. George to stay in Marnie's inlaws fabulous St. George home for 4 days. We took 7 little kids under 6 hiking to Zions and Snow Canyon, tons of swimming, total playing. We had a wonderful time, the kids were great, and super hikers and climbers.

Today is Big Daddy Brian's birthday!! Happy Birthday Dad!! You said you had a great day doing EXACTLY what you wanted!! Hope so!! We love you and are all proud to call you our dad! Hope you had a great day!!

Sun Valley

going to the cabin was great overall, but we definitely had to work dang hard to have fun. we had to hike through knee high snow into the cabin, which took a full 20 minutes one way. poor tim had to do 4 round trips just to bring in all of our gear. plus, the water didn't work at all, so we hauled in gallons of H2O from the store. because of the water situation derek and brett got a hotel for the two nights they were in town, which didn't surprise us one bit. the weather was beautiful while we were there though, totally sunny and not too cold during the day. claire is definitely going to be our girly girl, every time we tried to put a hat on her she said, "no, pretty hair!" and she threw the biggest fits when we put her coat on and stuck her in the backpack. she even hated sledding and getting the snow on her pants. tessa loved all of it, especially the sledding and the swing. it was a wonderful little family vacation and i think the girls had a blast in the end. love, al

Cabin Fever!!

i have found myself exploring through our bathroom drawers to help entertain the girls on bad weather days. the other day we found tim's old frames for his glasses and the girls thought they were so cool.

we leave tomorrow for sun valley and i can't wait. derek and brett are joining us, so it should be quite the adventure! any form of getting out of town sounds wonderful to me, so i am stoked about going to the cabin and hiking into red fish.

hope everyone is doing great. Rawle's we hope you have a fabulous time in Florida. my family went to all the theme parks down there on our way to our time share in the keys each year. i loved it when i was young. love, al

just some random posts.

The first are all the girls at the Nuckcracker ballet.  It was fun to see the little girls when all the bling bling came out.  I still love to go to it!  It is a great girls tradition and Wow!! front row seats.  YOu cant ask for much more.  

The second is our homemade snow sledding hill.  We pushed all the snow out of our driveway and there was so much that the kids slid on if for like 
3 weeks.  Lots of time outside!!  


Lastly, we spent a lovely week in Costa Rica.  Just Todd and I. This is were we stayed and I even went golfing with Todd.  This is the "year of Todd" you all know.  It was so warm and fun to just be alone.!!  love you all
